Art & Frames by Jack Lloyd

An introduction by Jack Lloyd.
“Welcome to One to Remember. I’m Jack Lloyd, an artist and picture framer based in Hawick. Here you’ll find my bespoke photo-collage artworks — pieces that weave together personal stories, family histories, and memorable moments — alongside my handcrafted picture frames made from solid, sustainably sourced timbers.
This site is a place to explore my work, discover how commissions and framing services can be tailored to you, and hopefully find inspiration for creating something unique and lasting.”
Framed Art
Made in Hawick, Shared Everywhere.
"My limited edition landscape photo-collage artworks explore places with rich character and layered histories — from the rolling scenery of the Scottish Borders, up to Edinburgh and beyond, and south through Manchester and London, to iconic international cities such as Paris and New York. Each piece is built from carefully composed photographic layers that capture not only the look of a place but its spirit and story.
Produced in small editions, every artwork is hand-finished and presented in a bespoke timber frame crafted in my Hawick studio, ensuring each piece carries both contemporary artistry and timeless craftsmanship."

Your Story, Beautifully Told in Art.
"To me, a wedding day is full of fleeting moments — laughter, details, emotions, and settings that deserve to be remembered. My wedding photo-collages bring these together into one artwork, weaving layers of photography and symbolic elements to tell the story of the day as a whole.
The process begins with a conversation, where I learn about the couple, their story, and the details they’d like included. From there, I create a bespoke composition that captures not just how the day looked, but how it felt.
Each piece is produced as a fine art print, hand-finished, and presented in a bespoke timber frame crafted in my studio, ready to be treasured as a lasting reminder of a once-in-a-lifetime day.'
Personalised Art Commissions:
Fine Art, Made Personally for You.
At One to Remember, you can make any artwork from my catalogue truly your own. For a small design fee, I offer a personalisation service where up to five carefully chosen details can be added into an existing artwork — anything from names, dates, and places to small symbolic elements that carry meaning for you. This transforms a piece from the collection into a bespoke artwork, tailored with touches that make it uniquely personal while retaining the original design integrity.

From the Scottish Borders, With Meaning.
“On display in my Hawick studio is a weaving loom passed down from my great-grandfather, Arnold Widmer, who worked as a Swiss weaver in the 1920s. He was part of a tradition that produced Swiss straw lace, a craft that required precision, patience, and creativity.
The loom now sits as both a piece of family history and a symbol of the weaving heritage that connects to Hawick’s own textile past.
For me, it represents continuity — just as my great-grandfather wove threads into fabric, I digitally weave together images and stories into contemporary photo-collage artworks. It stands as a reminder that craft and storytelling, whether in textiles or in art, are always about bringing separate elements together to create something lasting.
Below is a picture of Arnold's daughter, my grandmother, operating the loom”

Framed Memories, Finished to Perfection.
"At my Hawick studio, every frame is individually made to complement the artwork it holds. I use traditional skills, quality materials, and a careful, hands-on approach so that your picture, photograph, or keepsake is displayed beautifully and preserved for years to come.
My frames are designed to sit confidently in both modern and traditional interiors — clean, contemporary lines with a refined finish that still feels timeless.
The result is a frame that looks equally at home in a sleek city apartment or a cosy period home."
Personal Stories, Captured Forever.
“At One to Remember, I create bespoke photo-collage artworks that transform personal stories into striking, contemporary fine art.
With over 20 years of experience, I specialise in commemorating family histories, life celebrations, and memorials through layered, meaningful visual storytelling.
Each piece I make is produced using fine art printing on archival-quality papers and hand-framed in solid timbers, custom finished to order.”
Memories That Hang with Meaning.
“For commercial and corporate clients, I create bespoke photo-collage artworks that reflect the identity, history, and values of a business or place. Each commission begins with research and conversation to understand the story that needs to be told — whether it’s celebrating a company’s heritage, capturing the spirit of a location, or marking a milestone achievement.
The resulting artwork is carefully composed and hand-finished, then presented in a bespoke timber frame that brings a contemporary yet timeless presence to offices, reception areas, boardrooms, or public spaces.
These pieces are designed not only as striking visual statements, but as lasting embodiments of the stories that shape an organisation.”
